Today Stanley came with me to the after school enrichment program at the YWCA. He enjoyed meeting all of the children, and he made friends with all of them. Stanley and the children painted with water colors. Each child painted their favorite animal. Stanley, along with a view others, had never painted with water colors, so they needed a quick lesson. Stanley quickly caught on and absolutely loved painting with the water colors. His favorite animals are dolphins, so he painted a beautiful picture of dolphins swimming in the ocean.
As he was painting I began to ask him and the other students if they knew much about a dolphin's life. Stanley knew many interesting facts about dolphins (since they are his favorite animal). He told us that dolphins are among the most intelligent animals, and are very social. They live in groups of 2-40. He even knew how many teeth they have! They have up to 100 teeth! Stanley also told us that there are up to 36 different species of dolphins. I learned much about dolphins from Stanley and I was inspired to learn more, so I researched and found some interesting websites. Below are the links to the website I found. Have fun learning! Also, I attached a video of a dolphin saving a whale. How amazing are these animals?
